Guest bartenders Sam Morris and Victoria García brought a taste of New York City’s award-winning cocktail scene to Miami for a special industry gathering
On Monday, October 26, Miami’s cocktail community gathered at Séptimo Miami for a special guest bartending experience featuring Sam Morris and Victoria García from New York City’s Sip & Guzzle, recently crowned No. 1 on North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list.
Held during the week’s Tales of the Cocktail activations, the event brought together industry professionals, bartenders, and cocktail enthusiasts for an evening celebrating creativity, collaboration, and the shared passion for hospitality.
The visiting bartenders presented four signature cocktails from Sip & Guzzle’s New York City menu, including two creations featuring Tequila Centinela, the evening’s sponsoring tequila brand.
Among the highlights was the Dirty Mango, a playful, tropical interpretation of a martini combining Centinela Blanco Tequila, mango, and olive for a balance of fruity and savory flavors.
Another standout was the Doctor Green, a refreshing, herbaceous highball crafted with Centinela Clásico Tequila, green apple, tomatillo, shiso, hoja santa, and fennel. The combination brought together bright acidity, fresh herbal notes, and a distinctive vegetal character.
Rooted in the tequila-making traditions of Jalisco, Mexico, Tequila Centinela added a Mexican spirit to the evening’s New York-meets-Miami cocktail collaboration.
Beyond the drinks, the evening reflected the strong sense of community that defines Miami’s hospitality industry. With great music, a lively atmosphere, and familiar faces from the local bar scene, the gathering created an opportunity for industry professionals to reconnect, exchange ideas, and discover new cocktail inspirations.
