Marion by Mr. Hospitality Miami: A Reimagined Icon Returns to Brickell

by Helena Jose

Brickell’s iconic hotspot, Marion, has reopened its doors this September after a summer-long renovation, bringing a blend of culinary excellence, vibrant nightlife, and an exciting new look to Miami’s dining scene. Under the direction of Mr. Hospitality Miami, Marion has transformed itself, offering a fresh, stylish atmosphere without losing the charm that made it a beloved destination.

The $4 million makeover, spearheaded by Mr. Hospitality’s Founder & CEO Mathieu Massa, aims to elevate Marion from a trendy “It” spot to an enduring classic. “We wanted to bring back Marion as a Miami landmark,” says Massa. “This renovation takes Marion from Brickell’s favorite party girl to a sophisticated icon, ready to impress our guests once again.”

At the heart of Marion’s evolution is a revamped menu curated by Executive Chef Kylian Goussot. The cuisine showcases a harmonious blend of Asian and Mediterranean flavors, featuring an array of sophisticated dishes. Highlights include the indulgent Truffle Prime Beef Tartare, the luxurious Kobe Roll made with A5 Wagyu, and the perfectly crisp Lobster Tempura. For seafood lovers, the Chilean Sea Bass is a must-try, while meat enthusiasts will savor the Prime Skirt Steak Tagliata.

Sushi enthusiasts are in for a treat as Sushi Chef Max Kamakura introduces a creative spin on traditional rolls, using dry-aging techniques to elevate flavor profiles. Unique offerings such as the Wagyu Marrow Roll and Marion’s signature Salmon Roll push the boundaries of sushi artistry.

Complementing the food is an inventive cocktail menu crafted by Karol Ansaldi. Drawing inspiration from Marion’s Asian-Mediterranean flair, the cocktail list includes the bold and smoky “Dirty Dancing,” a dynamic mix of tequila and mezcal, the tiki-inspired “Wild Things” with a rum base, and a reimagined classic in the “Basic Instinct,” a sophisticated twist on the beloved Paloma. Wine Director Higor Valle also brings one of Miami’s finest Champagne collections to the table, featuring both celebrated names and rare gems.

One of the most luxurious additions to Marion is the stunning Dom Pérignon Champagne Display, as well as an exclusive Tequila Room, housing over 300 premium bottles. Whether celebrating a special occasion or indulging in an extravagant night out, these offerings are perfect for those seeking a touch of opulence.

The venue itself has been given a stylish makeover by designer Carlos Rodriguez, who blends Marion’s rich history with bold, modern design elements. The new decor boasts vibrant pinks, warm, welcoming tones, and elegant Italian chandeliers. At night, Marion’s famous nightlife takes center stage as the ceiling transforms into a colorful disco, reminiscent of Studio 54, inviting guests to dance the night away under the glow of shifting lights.

Located at 1111 SW 1st Ave, Marion is now open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 7 PM until late. To make a reservation or learn more, visit Marionmiami.com or call 786-717-7512.
