From the Team Behind Yamashiro, 400 Vinyl Room Debuts in Downtown Miami
May 21, 2026

A new late-night destination dedicated to vinyl culture, refined cocktails, and immersive sound is set to open in Downtown Miami this month with the debut of 400 Vinyl Room. Opening April 25 on the 9th floor of Gale Miami Hotel & Residences, the intimate 50-seat listening lounge comes from the team behind Yamashiro Miami and draws inspiration from both Hollywood’s Golden Age and Tokyo’s underground vinyl bar culture.

Inspired by the historic “400 Club,” the private enclave within Yamashiro Hollywood frequented by film industry elites in the 1920s, 400 Vinyl Room was created as a music-first experience where vinyl takes center stage. While Yamashiro Miami offers rooftop dining and skyline views, the adjacent lounge introduces a more intimate atmosphere centered around curated sound, analog listening sessions, and elevated cocktails.

The vinyl-only music program will feature nightly sessions rooted in funk, soul, disco, and ’80s Latin music, alongside themed evenings like Saturday Night Fever celebrating the iconic sounds of nightlife culture. Guest selectors and visiting DJs will also curate special residencies throughout the year.

The cocktail program leans spirit-forward and precision-driven, inspired by classic American cocktail traditions. Signature drinks include All Night Long, a refreshing highball with vodka, strawberry cordial, grapefruit, and club soda; Smooth Operator with Vida Tobalá, Midori, lime, and basil; and Saturday Night Fever, a vibrant combination of Código Blanco tequila, lemon, honey, cilantro, sriracha, and wasabi salt.

Further elevating the experience is the lounge’s Tiny Sips menu, a collection of concentrated small-format cocktails designed for slow sipping and exploration. Highlights include My Way, featuring Zacapa XO rum and Lo-Fi dry vermouth; Dirty Diana, a refined dirty martini variation with Canaima gin and house brine; and Hot Stuff, a spicy-citrus mix of Ocho Blanco tequila, Aperol, Tajín, and habanero bitters. Guests can also enjoy champagne by the glass or bottle alongside a tableside champagne cart with caviar service.

Designed by AMA Designs, the space blends warm amber lighting, velvet textures, curated spotlighting, record-lined walls, and intimate banquette seating inspired by 1970s hi-fi culture and Tokyo’s late-night listening bars. Every detail was intentionally designed to enhance the vinyl listening experience and create an atmosphere where music, conversation, and hospitality seamlessly intersect.
