An intimate evening of cocktails, music, and meaningful connections at Four Seasons Hotel Miami marked the launch of Diplomático Rum’s new global campaign, “Good Times Are Serious Business.”
Miami’s vibrant cocktail scene welcomed a taste of Venezuelan hospitality as Diplomático Rum gathered an exclusive group of guests at Séptimo, located inside Four Seasons Hotel Miami in Brickell, to celebrate its new global campaign, Good Times Are Serious Business.
Rooted in the Venezuelan philosophy of Buen Vivir, the campaign celebrates the art of finding joy in everyday moments, embracing genuine connections, and elevating life’s simple pleasures through thoughtful details. The intimate gathering brought that philosophy to life through an afternoon of games, cocktails, live music, and culinary bites.

An Afternoon Dedicated to the Art of Living Well
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by the elegant sounds of a live violinist, setting the tone for an afternoon of relaxed sophistication. Interactive games invited guests to embrace a playful spirit while sipping on four specially curated Diplomático cocktails.
The selection included a tropical Banana Daiquiri, crafted with Diplomático Planas, banana, lime, and sugar; a refreshing Mojito with Diplomático Planas, mint, passion fruit, sugar, and sparkling wine; and the Seventh Count, a creative interpretation of the Negroni featuring Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva, toasted coconut, vermouth, Campari, and banana. Rounding out the experience was Café Caribe, an indulgent combination of Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva, espresso, and dulce de leche foam.
Passed hors d’oeuvres complemented the cocktails, while a live Latin jazz set brought warmth and rhythm to the gathering. More than a traditional tasting, the celebration reflected the essence of Buen Vivir: memorable experiences shaped by meaningful connections, thoughtful details, and the pleasure of sharing good times.

Good Times Are Serious Business
The Miami celebration coincided with a new chapter for Diplomático Rum as the Venezuelan brand introduced its first coordinated global campaign since joining the Brown-Forman portfolio in 2023. Developed with New York creative agency forceMajeure, Good Times Are Serious Business reimagines Diplomático’s identity through a contemporary interpretation of Venezuelan hospitality.
At the heart of the campaign is the imagined Diplomático Estate, a world inspired by Venezuela’s lush landscapes, historic estates, and distinctive cultural heritage. The concept celebrates the idea that life’s most enjoyable moments deserve intention, whether through a perfectly crafted cocktail, a thoughtfully prepared gathering, or the company of good friends.
As Elena Petrov, VP Global Brand Director at Diplomático Rum, puts it: “Putting care into elevating life’s little moments is something we take just as seriously as the making of our rum.”
A Rare Taste of Diplomático Chancellor

One of the evening’s most memorable highlights was the opportunity to discover Diplomático Chancellor, an exceptionally rare expression at the pinnacle of the brand’s Prestige Range. Hosted by José Luis Ballesteros, Diplomático Rum’s National Brand Ambassador, the celebration featured an exclusive tasting of Chancellor, guided by Ballesteros himself, offering guests a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship and complexity behind one of the brand’s most prestigious releases.
Limited to 900 individually numbered bottles worldwide, the collector’s edition is matured through a sequence involving French virgin oak, American virgin oak, and seasoned American oak. Bottled at 47% ABV, it offers notes of dark caramel, tobacco, delicate spices, ripe fruit, and vanilla, with a long, layered finish. With an approximate retail price of $2,000, Chancellor offered guests a glimpse into one of Diplomático’s most exclusive releases.

A Venezuelan Philosophy with a Global Spirit
As Diplomático introduces its new identity across the United States and Europe, its message remains deeply connected to its Venezuelan roots. The celebration at Séptimo demonstrated that Buen Vivir is more than a campaign concept: it is an approach to life defined by warmth, generosity, and appreciation for the moments that bring people together.
If there was one takeaway from the evening, it was that sometimes the greatest luxury is taking the time to enjoy good company, exceptional rum, and the art of living well.
