The New York-born cocktail destination brings its signature apothecary-inspired mixology, exclusive Miami creations, and intimate nightlife experience to South Beach.
New York’s celebrated cocktail destination Apotheke Mixology has officially arrived in Miami, opening its first Florida location on October 30 in the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco District.
Hidden behind an unmarked entrance at 915 Washington Avenue, inside Moxy South Beach, the new lounge introduces Miami to Apotheke’s distinctive approach to cocktail culture, where botanicals, unexpected ingredients, and old-world apothecary traditions come together in the glass.
To celebrate its arrival, Apotheke hosted three exclusive opening events on October 26, 28, and 29, welcoming Miami’s hospitality insiders, creatives, and tastemakers for an intimate preview of the space and its cocktail program.

A Cocktail Apothecary Arrives in Miami
Founded in 2008 behind an unmarked door on Doyers Street in New York City’s Chinatown, Apotheke has developed a following for its ingredient-driven cocktails and immersive nightlife atmosphere.
Following expansions to Los Angeles and New York’s NoMad neighborhood, South Beach becomes the brand’s fourth location.
Inspired by the philosophy that plants are medicine, Apotheke’s cocktail program explores the extraction of flavors from fresh produce, herbs, botanicals, and unconventional ingredients, using spirits as the foundation for its creative formulas.
At the heart of the South Beach experience is a new cocktail menu curated by Mixology Director Nicolas O’Connor, featuring nine Original Formulas developed exclusively for Miami.
The menu is organized into playful categories inspired by traditional apothecary remedies, including Health & Beauty, Painkillers, Stimulants, Aphrodisiacs, Euphoric Enhancers, and Stress Relievers.
Among the new creations are Novia Del Sol, Dawn Patrol, and Bilongo, alongside a rotating selection of Historic Formulas from Apotheke’s New York and Los Angeles locations.
Three Nights of Cocktails, Cuisine, and Celebration
The opening festivities began on Monday, October 26, and continued on Wednesday, October 28, as invited guests explored the hidden cocktail lounge and sampled its Miami-exclusive creations.
The previews also introduced a culinary collaboration with neighboring Naked Tomato, the restaurant by acclaimed Chef Eyal Shani, bringing together two new additions to South Beach’s dining and nightlife scene.
The celebrations concluded on Thursday, October 29, with an intimate dinner at Naked Tomato, where guests enjoyed a curated prix-fixe menu paired with Apotheke’s Original Formulas.
The menu highlighted Chef Shani’s modern Israeli cuisine, featuring dishes such as Hummus Gargirim, fire-roasted eggplant carpaccio with tahini and tomato seeds, charred beetroot with horseradish cream, and butterfly branzino cooked over an open flame.
Guests also enjoyed a selection of Naked Tomato’s signature Shipudim before continuing the evening next door at Apotheke for a private cocktail experience.
A Different Side of South Beach Nightlife
While South Beach is known for its energetic nightlife, Apotheke introduces a more intimate, cocktail-focused alternative.
With live music, eclectic DJ selections, and an atmosphere designed to encourage conversation and connection, the lounge places the craft of mixology at the center of the experience.
Rather than following the traditional nightclub formula, Apotheke invites guests to discover a setting where the cocktails themselves are part of the entertainment.
With its botanical approach, inventive menu, and hidden-door appeal, Apotheke South Beach adds a distinctive new chapter to Miami’s evolving cocktail scene.
