Coral Gables is getting a new rooftop hangout just in time for football season. On October 29, Gioia Hospitality Group will officially open D’s Rooftop, transforming the former La Terrazza, located above Daniel’s Miami, into a lively destination where sports, food, cocktails, and South Florida sunsets come together.
Founded by father-daughter duo Thomas and Kassidy Angelo, Gioia Hospitality Group continues to expand its presence in South Florida’s dining scene. The hospitality group is also behind Daniel’s Miami, ranked No. 40 on the 2026 World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list, MICHELIN Guide–recommended Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale, and the recently opened La Sponda at Vita at Grove Isle.
Inspired by the group’s popular D’s Sports Bar in Fort Lauderdale, the new rooftop brings a similar passion for Florida sports and hospitality, but with a personality of its own.
Elevated Bites, Cocktails & Sunset Views
With panoramic views of Coral Gables, approximately 10 televisions and a state-of-the-art sound system, D’s Rooftop offers a setting that works just as well for catching the game as it does for enjoying cocktails with friends.
The menu puts a playful spin on familiar favorites, featuring dishes such as Wagyu Beef Empanadas, Chicken Nuggets & Caviar, The Heritage Burger and a Blackened Swordfish Sandwich.
On the cocktail side, guests can explore a selection of signature creations, including D’s Margarita, White Negroni, Passion 75 and the Teeling Watermelon Mule. Whether stopping by for a sunset drink or settling in for a full evening, the rooftop aims to offer something beyond the traditional sports bar experience.
More Than Just Game Day
D’s Rooftop is introducing a weekly lineup that brings together sports, food, and social experiences.
Steak & Cigar Thursdays will invite guests to enjoy premium steaks, specialty cocktails and selections from renowned cigar brands, including LFD, Padrón, and Plasencia, in an open-air setting overlooking Coral Gables.
Football fans can also look forward to Thursday Night Football, with NFL games shown across the rooftop’s televisions, accompanied by signature cocktails and elevated game-day bites.
On Fridays, the atmosphere shifts toward a more family-friendly experience with Friday Family BBQ Night, beginning October 30. The highlight is D’s BBQ Platter, featuring Texas Mayura brisket and tri-tip, Rosewood Wagyu jalapeño cheddar sausage, baby back ribs, coleslaw, and bread-and-butter pickles. Designed for sharing, the weekly gathering celebrates the simple pleasure of good food and time spent together.
Saturday College Football rounds out the programming, with an opening-weekend watch party on October 31 featuring the University of Miami Hurricanes facing the North Carolina Tar Heels.
A New Rooftop for Coral Gables
Beyond its food, cocktails, and weekly events, D’s Rooftop will also serve as a venue for private celebrations and corporate gatherings, accommodating up to 110 seated guests or 150 standing.
