A new kind of nightlife experience is arriving in Downtown Miami. 400 Vinyl Room, an intimate listening lounge from the team behind Yamashiro, is set to debut on April 25, 2026, on the 9th floor of Gale Miami Hotel & Residences.
Positioned as a more intimate counterpart to Yamashiro Miami—Los Angeles’ iconic restaurant making its first expansion in over a century—400 Vinyl Room shifts the focus from dining to sound, creating a space where music takes center stage.
Inspired by the historic “400 Club” at Yamashiro Hollywood, the concept channels the glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Age while weaving in the precision and intimacy of Tokyo’s late-night cocktail bars. The result is a layered experience that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking, designed for those who appreciate the ritual of music as much as the craft of a well-made drink.
“Opening 400 Vinyl Room feels like completing a circle,” shares Freddy Braidi, Partner of Yamashiro Miami Hospitality Group. “Yamashiro brings the dining, the history, the legacy. And now, right alongside it, a room where the night truly begins.”
The 50-seat lounge will feature a vinyl-only music program rooted in funk, soul, disco, and ’80s Latin, with nightly sessions built around the culture of record listening. Expect themed evenings like Saturday Night Fever, alongside guest selectors and visiting DJs bringing their own curated sound to the room.
In place of traditional bottle service, the beverage program takes a more intentional approach—focused on precision, balance, and spirit-forward cocktails that echo the depth and character of the music. Signature serves include All Night Long, a bright, refreshing highball, Smooth Operator, a layered mezcal-forward cocktail with herbal notes, and Saturday Night Fever, a bold and spicy tequila-based creation.
A strong Champagne offering further elevates the experience, complemented by a refined tableside cart with caviar service—an elegant nod to the room’s Golden Age inspiration.
One of the most distinctive elements of the program is the Tiny Sips menu: a collection of small-format cocktails designed for exploration. These concentrated pours deliver high-intensity flavor in a more restrained format, encouraging guests to experience multiple profiles throughout the evening. Standouts include My Way, a rum-based take on a Manhattan, Dirty Diana, a refined and briny martini variation, and Hot Stuff, a vibrant, spice-driven mix with citrus and aperitivo notes.
Designed by AMA Designs, the space reflects a deep attention to atmosphere. Warm textures, amber lighting, and velvet accents create a sense of intimacy, while curated record shelves and gold albums add a tactile connection to music history. The layout—featuring curved banquettes and layered seating—invites conversation, while maintaining a strong focus on sound.
Every element has been carefully considered to enhance the listening experience, drawing inspiration from 1970s hi-fi culture and Tokyo’s underground vinyl bars, where music is treated with near reverence.
Open on select evenings, 400 Vinyl Room offers a more intimate, music-driven extension of the Yamashiro Miami experience—inviting guests to begin or end their night in a space designed for connection, discovery, and sound.
