AVA MediterrAegean Brings a Taste of the Greek Isles to Coconut Grove

Miami’s dining scene continues to evolve, but few restaurant groups have shaped its luxury hospitality landscape quite like Riviera Dining Group (RDG). Following the success of acclaimed concepts including MILA Miami, CASA NEOS, and CLAUDIE, the group has introduced another destination designed to transport guests beyond the city limits: AVA MediterrAegean in Coconut Grove.

Inspired by the beauty, culture, and flavors of the Greek islands, AVA combines elevated Mediterranean cuisine, immersive design, and a lifestyle-driven approach to hospitality that has become synonymous with the RDG brand. The result is a dining experience that feels both refined and deeply rooted in the traditions of the Aegean.

At the heart of AVA’s culinary program is an impressive leadership team led by RDG Partner and Head of Culinary, Chef Michaël Michaelidis, alongside Executive Chef Frédéric Aumeunier. Together, they bring decades of experience from some of the world’s most respected kitchens, creating a menu that celebrates the connection between land and sea through thoughtful technique and exceptional ingredients.

Chef Aumeunier’s culinary journey spans more than two decades across Michelin-starred restaurants in both Europe and the United States. His experience includes renowned establishments such as Per Se in New York, La Maison Pic in Valence, France, and Pineapple & Pearls in Washington, D.C. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for transforming culinary programs, leading large-scale teams, and crafting menus that balance technical precision with soulful creativity.

At AVA, that philosophy comes to life through a menu inspired by the Cycladic region and the broader Mediterranean. Guests can begin their meal with fresh seafood-driven starters such as the Aegean Tuna Ceviche or Seabass Carpaccio before moving on to signature dishes including the Lobster Pasta, Chilean Seabass Kakavia, or the impressive 32-ounce Wagyu Tomahawk.

Now, AVA is expanding its culinary offerings with the introduction of weekend brunch, giving guests a new opportunity to experience the restaurant’s Mediterranean spirit during the daytime.

Available every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the à la carte brunch menu showcases a wide range of dishes that blend familiar brunch favorites with AVA’s signature Mediterranean influence. Highlights include the flavorful Eggs Shakshuka, the indulgent Maine Lobster Mykonaki Roll, classic French Toast, Greek Branzino Filet, Santorini Wild Shrimp Arrabbiata, and an impressive Seafood Tower designed for sharing.

For those looking for a complete brunch experience, AVA also offers a brunch prix-fixe menu for $45 per person. Meanwhile, guests can continue to enjoy the restaurant’s dinner prix-fixe offering at $70 per person, providing another accessible way to explore the kitchen’s signature dishes.

With its transportive atmosphere, world-class culinary leadership, and menu inspired by one of the world’s most celebrated coastal regions, AVA MediterrAegean continues to establish itself as one of Coconut Grove’s most compelling dining destinations. Whether visiting for an elegant dinner, cocktails with friends, or a leisurely weekend brunch, guests can expect an experience that captures the warmth, sophistication, and hospitality of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
