The Joyce Earns Global Recognition for Its Award-Winning Wine Program

In less than a year, The Joyce has quietly established itself as one of South Florida’s premier destinations for wine lovers. The intimate Miami Beach steakhouse recently earned a trio of prestigious accolades that place its wine program among the best in the state, the country, and the world.

Led by Beverage Director Andrew Herron, The Joyce’s cellar was recognized by Star Wine List with the Gold Star for Best Medium-Sized Wine List in Florida, before receiving the organization’s Global Silver Star, placing the restaurant among the world’s leading wine programs. The distinction made The Joyce one of only four restaurants in the United States recognized in the category.

Adding to the momentum, Wine Spectator recently honored the restaurant with its 2026 Best of Award of Excellence, one of the wine industry’s most respected recognitions.

The accolades reflect the remarkable growth of the program. In just six months, The Joyce expanded its collection from approximately 300 labels to more than 500 carefully curated selections, representing nearly 1,200 bottles.

The list focuses on benchmark producers from the classic wine regions of France, Italy, and Spain, while remaining approachable for both seasoned collectors and casual enthusiasts. Guests can explore an extensive by-the-glass selection, large-format bottles, kosher wines, dessert wines, and an impressive collection of rare labels that are seldom found elsewhere in Miami.

The wine program complements The Joyce’s modern approach to the American steakhouse experience. Executive Chef James Taylor, whose culinary background includes acclaimed Chicago restaurants Alinea and Bavette’s, presents classic steakhouse cuisine with refined technique and an entirely seed-oil-free kitchen. In addition to its signature menu, the restaurant regularly introduces off-menu specials and hosts its rotating Sunday concept, The Palace at The Joyce, inspired by Chinese cuisine.

Located along the iconic Española Way, the 45-seat restaurant pairs an intimate, low-lit dining room with custom walnut millwork, collectible furnishings, and artwork from founder and partner Andre Sakhai’s personal collection.

Outside, The Patio at The Joyce offers a more relaxed setting for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday, while the restaurant’s award-winning beverage program continues to position The Joyce as one of Miami Beach’s most exciting destinations for both exceptional dining and world-class wine.

For wine collectors, enthusiasts, and anyone looking to explore one of the city’s fastest-rising cellars, The Joyce has become a name worth knowing.
