Highly praised Japanese dining spot, Kissaki Miami, is celebrating summer with a tempting happy hour. Here’s the exciting part: discounted martinis and makis will be available even on weekends and at extended times. To start the season, their new happy hour begins on Thursday, June 20th. Wine and sake lovers can also enjoy Sunday evenings with their new BYOB nights.

From Wednesday – Sunday from 6-8 PM, locals and sushi fans can savor discounted treats and $10 martinis, including a Saketini, classic martinis, house sake, and a special Tokyo Sake Mule. Caviar enthusiasts can enhance their cocktails with a $6 dollop of osetra. On Sunday evenings, the corkage fee will be waived during in-room dining.

Chef Edgar Valerio leads the culinary team, bringing over ten years of experience from the former Michelin-starred Jewel Bako. During happy hour, both locals and visitors can experience their creative takes on Japanese cuisine, as seen on the dinner menu. Highlights include the Kissaki Salad ($10) with Watercress, yuzu-miso dressing, and tempura ($10), Chicken Karaage ($12) with Ginger aioli, chives, lime, Nasu ($8), an Asian eggplant with miso glaze and sesame, and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice ($12) topped with toro tartare, soy butter, and serrano chile.

Kissaki is serious about quality and is one of the few restaurants with its own fishery and wildlife license. Chef Valerio and his team use only the freshest ingredients, including Hokkaido uni, scallops, akami, toro, and wasabi sourced directly from Japan within 24 hours. Classic sashimi and nigiri options like Salmon, Ikura, Madai, Akami, and Fuke are priced at $5 each. Maki highlights include favorites like a Spicy Tuna or Salmon Roll and an Unagi Roll with Ebi, avocado, daikon radish sprout, tobiko, and eel sauce, all priced at $9.

For those wanting to elevate their happy hour, wine and sake will be available by the bottle, with options like Heaven Sake Azur ($90), Kokuryu Black Dragon ($95), Billecart Rosé ($150), Whispering Angel Rosé ($40), and more. Guests are encouraged to stay for dinner to try their new prix-fixe menu featuring three courses at $45.

Earlier this year, this innovative destination made its much-anticipated debut outside New York, arriving in Miami Beach’s prestigious South of Fifth neighborhood.
