To celebrate National Margarita Day we bring you 3 delicious easy-to-make recipes to enjoy with friends.

La Adelita Tequila, A boutique single-estate distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, making small-batch craft tequila. It gets its name in honor of the courageous woman, The Adelitas who were instrumental fighters during the Mexican Revolution. La Adelita carries 5 variations, Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Cristalino and Extra Anejo.

This tequila will allow you to fully enjoy every sip, as tequila has less calories than most other liquors making it the perfect base for any cocktail.  Enjoy these three margarita recipes that put a twist on the classic cocktail

Pineapple Margarita

Ingredients:  

2 oz. La Adelita Tequila Blanco

5 chunks of Fresh Pineapple

2 Mint Leaves

1 oz Lime Juice

1 oz. Agave 

Preparation:

For a salted rim, rub a juicy lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip in the salt of choice 

Muddle pineapple chunks + mint leaves inside the shaker

Combine remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake vigorously

Strain and serve on the rocks, and garnish with a pineapple chunk

WATERMELON MARGARITA

Ingredients: 

2 oz La Adelita Tequila Blanco or Reposado

2oz Watermelon, blended or juiced

2 oz Agave

Fresh Juice from 2 Limes and Lime for garnish

Mint for garnish and Sea Salt for rim 

 

Preparation: 

For a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim & gently dip the glass into sea salt 

Combine the cocktail ingredients into a cocktail shaker & shake well

Strain into a glass filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint & lime wedge

 JALAPEÑO MARGARITA

Ingredients: 

4 oz La Adelita Tequila Blanco

4oz freshly squeezed orange juice

2 oz agave

2 oz fresh lime juice and lime for garnish

½ jalapeno muddled

Dash of cayenne pepper and salt for rim

 

Preparation:

 For a salted rim, rub a juicy lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip in the salt of choice

Combine your ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, & shake vigorously

Strain and serve on the rocks, and garnish with jalapeno slices and a lime wedge
