¡Salud! Cocktail Month Arrives in Miami This October

Miami’s cocktail culture is stepping into the spotlight this fall with the launch of ¡Salud! Cocktail Month, a brand-new initiative designed to celebrate the city’s bar community while inviting locals back to the bar. Kicking off October 1, the month-long series blends neighborhood happy hours, signature cocktails, and community-driven events across Miami’s most iconic venues.

A Citywide Toast to Miami’s Bars

The series opens with three happy hours exclusive to registered ¡Salud! members, featuring complimentary cocktails while supplies last:

  • October 1 – Dead Flamingo

  • October 2 – ViceVersa (5–7 PM)

  • October 3 – Brother’s Keeper (5–7 PM)

From there, the calendar unfolds with drink specials, curated menus, and unique experiences at some of Miami’s most notable cocktail destinations. By registering online, guests gain access to the official bar directory, the featured cocktail guide, and the full lineup of events.

A Mission of Accessibility and Community

More than just another round of bar crawls, ¡Salud! Cocktail Month is about building connections — affordable, high-quality cocktails that bring people together in the neighborhoods they love. Whether at a buzzy new hotspot or an industry staple, the program’s goal is to encourage Miamians to revisit the bars that define the city’s nightlife while supporting the talent that shakes, stirs, and serves it.

Behind the initiative are three major players in Miami’s hospitality and culture scene:

  • Gabriel Urrutia – spirits educator and award-winning author spotlighting Miami’s bar culture

  • Joshua Wagner – seasoned hospitality executive behind some of South Florida’s most recognized venues

  • POPLIFE – the creative agency curating cultural and nightlife experiences that shape the city

As POPLIFE CEO LP Steele puts it: “Life’s better with friends. This is our invitation to join us, celebrate Miami’s cocktail scene, and make new ones.”

Powered by Top Spirits & Cultural Brands

From Aperol to Patrón, the list of supporting spirits brands reads like a who’s who of global favorites: 400 Conejos, Cointreau, Del Maguey, Diplomático, Espolòn, Fords Gin, Grey Goose, Mount Gay, Santa Teresa, Westland, and more. Additional sponsors like Google, Virgin Voyages, and Anatomy gym highlight how deeply the series is embedded across industries, all rallying behind Miami’s hospitality community.

Participating Venues

The roster of participating bars and restaurants is a love letter to Miami nightlife, spanning from timeless industry favorites like Broken Shaker, Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery, Blackbird Ordinary, and Sweet Liberty, to chef-driven gems like Beauty & the Butcher, Ghee Wynwood, and Stubborn Seed. Neighborhood lounges, hidden gems, and newcomers — from Wynwood to the Beach and beyond — are all part of the celebration.
