A renowned beachside restaurant is set to make a temporary appearance. Parador La Huella, also known as La Huella, holds the prestigious title of being the “Best Restaurant in Uruguay” according to Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants and has been hailed as the “Best Beachside Restaurant on the Planet” by Bon Appetit magazine. From Friday, June 21st to Sunday, June 23rd, this stylish coastal destination will take over Amara at Paraiso, owned by James Beard Award-Winning Chef Michael Schwartz. La Huella will transform the second floor of this waterfront property into a captivating beachside landscape. During this exclusive event, guests can indulge in La Huella’s renowned seafood specialties in an elegant setting for dinner on Friday and Saturday or enjoy a delightful Sunday brunch.
Since its establishment in 2001, La Huella has become an iconic institution in Uruguay. Over 20 years ago, three friends named Martín Pittaluga, Gustavo Barbero, and Guzmán Artagaveytia embarked on a challenge to create a restaurant on the pristine sands of Jose Ignacio beach town. Since its opening, this unassuming yet captivating location has attracted a diverse range of guests, from local families to fashionable travelers and even notable celebrities from around the globe.
La Huella is led by Chef Vanessa González, who takes center stage with her expertise in grilling. During their weekend pop-up event, Chef Vanessa and her culinary team will captivate guests with their signature seafood specialties and perfectly grilled meats. The transformed space of Amara’s venue will effortlessly recreate La Huella’s distinctive ambiance, combining style and ease. Adding to the enchantment, live entertainment will accompany the dining experience, immersing guests in La Huella’s mesmerizing and rhythmic sounds. To start off, each guest will be welcomed with a thoughtfully crafted drink curated by La Huella’s lead mixologist, accompanied by a selection of passed canapes. The main event will consist of a four-course meal served family-style, expertly paired with exquisite native wines from Uruguay’s renowned Garzon winery.
These extraordinary dining events will be held on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd at 7:30 PM, while the brunch will have a single seating on Sunday, June 23rd at 1 PM.
