Brugal Establishes itself in the Ultra-Premium Movement with a Show-stopping New Expression

Ready to feel a luxurious new taste on your tongue? Brugal recently joined the movement of ultra-premium rums that have been thrilling consumers in the market. Publicized as the “most prestigious expression to date,” Andrés Brugal is the exclusive release of an impressive 460 bottles that celebrate Brugal Founder Don Andrés and five generations of Maestros Roneros. Although there are other expressions in the ultra-premium movement, Brugal and its team have all but secured their product as a standout, boasting over a century of quality, traditional, and refined premium liquor.

Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Brugal has been mastering alcoholic liquor distilled from sugar-cane for 134 years and is an-award winning producer of premium rum. Brugal rum sets itself apart from other rums by being a uniquely light and pure spirit with a complexity and flavor that creates an elegant, aromatic and smooth feel on the tongue. Bound by tradition and motivated by passion, each expression maintains its high quality. Brugal continues to innovate while also keeping to the traditions that put it on the map, honoring its legacy and securing its longevity.

In the vein of constantly improving and being open-minded to new opportunities, 5th generation Maestra Ronera Jassil Villanueva Quintana is the talented individual behind Andrés Brugal. Maestra Quintana is not only the youngest master of rum in the industry, but also she is Brugal’s first female master distiller. Her creation was crafted in a single, unadulterated bath.

Andrés Brugal reveals the advantages of cask aging with a blend of two double aged reserves in first fill single American Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Andrés Brugal’s notes feature cacao, dulce de leche, vanilla, butterscotch and aromatic baking spices.  Its palate includes a combination of oak, vanilla bean, and sweet caramel flan which complements the freshness of ripe berries and notes of black peppercorns and sweet cloves. Its finish is rich with warming woody spices that create a silky and complex long-lasting dry finish. It is 41.5% ABV.

In terms of its presentation, the liquor is bottled in a crystal decanter that dazzles with its diamond pattern which is reminiscent of the brand’s memorable netting with a compass on the bottom. The bottle is also presented in a cabinet which is “inspired by the traveling cases earlier Maestros used to share their rum with the world,” connecting the product again to its humble history and beloved beginnings.

460 bottles of Andrés Brugal are available worldwide but there are only 50 bottles available in the U.S. Each bottle of the deep warm radiant amber liquid sells at $2,800. For more information or to experience this delicious ultra-premium expression, go to https://www.brugal-rum.com/en-us.
